Orphans are among the most vulnerable members of society.
In developing nations where children may already suffer the effects of war, poverty, and natural disaster, losing one or both parents is often synonymous with losing their lifeline.
These orphans are left to fend for themselves - sometimes from a very young age - and are susceptible to hunger, disease and exploitation. Their access to education is limited, their security threatened, and their futures bleak. Not to mention the severe grief and trauma that they will burden for the rest of their lives.
Al Khair Trust believes that it is our collective duty to care for these children, wherever in the world they may be. Through our longstanding sponsorship programme, donors can provide an orphan with all the basic necessities of life: food, clothing, shelter, healthcare and education.
On top of this, what sets us apart from other sponsorship programmes is that we value the emotional, mental and psychological wellbeing of the orphan as well. Al Khair Trust understands that the loss of one or both parents can be extremely destabilising for a child. As such, we offer individualised psychosocial support and counselling.

There are over 153 million orphans in the world today.Al Khair Trust 1st Phase Target is to Educate 500 orphan children Every Year.
The support and sponsorship of orphaned children holds a special place in Islam and the rewards are immense. However, we proudly believe that it is the best value and provides care for the child in a manner that is befitting of the honour, care and respect that our religion teaches that we should provide for orphans.
We have a simple rule: If it is not good enough for our own children, then it is not good enough for the children on our orphan support program.
